The OCWA Jets defended their title at the WEAO Operators Challenge once again this year in London. The OPS Challenge includes five events that showcase typical scenarios a wastewater operator would face while demonstrating skills and testing their knowledge.

OCWA’s Gord Williams Competes at the 2014 Canadian Masters Curling Championships
OCWA Northern Regional Manager Gord Williams skipped his curling rink from the Port Arthur Curling Club in Thunder Bay to the Northern Ontario Masters Championships held in Atikokan from February 27th to March 2nd. Gord’s rink won the championship with an undefeated record of 5-0!

April 28th has been proclaimed by the Government of Canada as the National Day of Mourning, which commemorates those workers whose lives have been lost or injured in the workplace. OCWA joins with other organizations, employers and employees to honour those affected by workplace death, injury or illness.

Please join with join our Agency and observe a moment of silence at 1:00pm on Monday April 28th. Our facilities have been encouraged to lower flags to half mast as a public symbol of remembrance and respect.
