Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) and Lambton Area Water Supply System (LAWSS) recently celebrated the completion of the first five years of a 20-year operations contract, in which OCWA maintains and operates the LAWSS water treatment plant and water distribution system.

Representatives from both OCWA and LAWSS acknowledged the importance of this milestone and recognized the efforts of both parties in making the partnership a strong one.

"The Lambton Area Water Supply System was the first primary water distributor in the Province of Ontario to sign a long-term operating contract with the Ontario Clean Water Agency. We have just successfully completed the first five years of our 20-year agreement. I am pleased that the relationship between LAWSS and OCWA continues to be strong – providing safe, clean water to our customers," said Andy Bruziewicz, Board Chair of LAWSS.

Both LAWSS and OCWA are looking forward to continuing to provide the Lambton area with safe and clean water over the next 15 years.

OCWA’s Vice President of Operations Terry Bender was pleased to present LAWSS with a plaque to celebrate this milestone.
